Spam increase

Actually, I never had spam comments before until a couple of weeks ago. I’ve checked the tags and don’t see an indication of why this post? Any ideas??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Most of us who have established blogs get hundreds every day. The vast and overwhelming majority of all so-called information on the internet is spam. Over 80% of all so-called comments submitted to .wordpress.com blogs every day are spam. Spam comes in waves. There are human beings who get paid to post spam. There are robotic programs that post spam.
The worst of all spam containing malware and viruses is not sent to us. It’s removed as it could bring down many blogs if opened.
On the spam that Akismet catches it takes only seconds to click “empty spam” and you don’t even have to click “empty spam” if you don’t want to. Akismet will maintain comments it has caught for 15 days from the time they were received, and then it will delete the comment automatically.
If you get spam that slips by Akismet then mark it as spam (do not delete it) and over time Akismet will learn it’s spam.
There is no such thing as eliminating all spam but Akismet works very well. For more information please take the time to read “5 things every blogger should know about spam” on this page Akismet: How it works http://akismet.com/how/

If you approve a single spam comment on any post spammers watch for that and then they bombard the same post over and over again.

That makes sense but I haven’t approved any…at all. It’s just weird that all of a sudden I’m getting these with none in the past. Just thought y’all needed to know.

I see several comments on posts on your blog. If you did not approve them that means you did not set comment moderation up and they are automatically posted. That means every spammer on the internet can do the same.
This page > Settings > Discussion is where you set up defaults for comments.

Other comment settings
_Comment author must fill out name and e-mail
_Users must be registered and logged in to commentNote that the prompt to submit and email address and a website URL will still appear, but providing an email address and logging in are not required, and you cannot change this so the prompt does not appear.
P.S. Do be sure to set up full comment moderation ie. “An administrator must always approve the comment” because anonymous commenting is bound to increase the amount of spam your blog will receive.

I have a question. Where does the SPAM come from because frankly Im getting tired of it. I have selected the option of reviewing comments before posting, but its still rather irritating. Everyday I have like 60 comments from SPAM. why are they spamming me when they notice that I dont allow them to post on my page. I am so frustrated.
