  I am receiving 1000’s of spam email saying from my wordpress site – have installed several spam filters — not sure what to do – TIA

  My web site has a contact form on it and my email is it too late – what can I do amny tips please please??

  Could you please let me know if you are using WordPress.com or a self-hosted WordPress.org site?

  You cannot install Captcha or any other plugins on WordPress.com, and no upgrade will change that. However, you don’t need to worry about it because WordPress.com already provides spam protection for comments and the contact form with the Akismet plugin, which is included by default on your site.

  Akismet is a learning tool. If some spam does get through, you can mark it as spam, and the plugin will improve its filtering for the future. To mark contact form messages as spam, go to the Feedback section of your WP-Admin dashboard. You can also check the spam folder there for any legitimate messages that may have been marked as spam by mistake.
