SPAM on my wordpress page

  Up until a few days ago, I never had spam on WordPress when I logged on to blog. Now I do! AND there are even highlights to lead somewhere else, on words in my blog that I didn’t put there. I can’t send it out to readers like that! Now what do I do?

  Hi there,

  We do occasionally run ads in order to keep free services free. However, ads of the nature you describe don’t sound like the kind we use.

  Please note that it’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were *not* placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
