Spam on one blog, now it’s spread to all my blogs

    I have been getting a lot of hits on one of my blogs because I put up a book review on a book on Mary Cassatt. I get lots of people who are probably just doing a school report or something, so I haven’t bothered with it.

    However, yesterday I got a spam nonsense comment on that post, which I marked Spam. Then I have suddenly received a dozen comments, not all spam, but many offensive, so I deleted them all. I also changed the post to draft and private to take it off my blog temporarily.

    The most frustrating part is that now ALL of my blogs (I have 4 others under this account) are getting hits when someone searches for “mary cassatt.” There should be NO reason why any of my other blogs would come up under that search. I am afraid someone has attached my name to this spam attack. The most serious problem here is that I am a part of a scholarly blog doing a project and I REALLY don’t want to mess up that blog.
