Spam pop up ads on my paid site when viewed on Android device
-
I’ve had a paid WordPress site since June 2017 and this problem only started recently. When going to my site on an Android device, I often get pop up ads that block the content and are impossible to exit. Here is a screen capture of a good example:

The only way to get rid of them is to close the site entirely and re-enter it. This usually requires multiple attempts before the ads eventually stop.
Why would this be happening on a paid site??? And how do I get rid of it???

Good morning –
The ads are on by default. The premium plan that you have bought for spoonsandhooks.com gives you the option to turn the ads off. I’ve gone ahead and done that.
Write back with any other questions.

Thanks so much for doing that for me. Are there any other “surprises” I should be aware of? I thought I had covered everything in the setup.

Hi @ninanic, we must have misunderstood. Ads are normal. Full page ads that take over the site are not normal.
We’ve been working on fixing this today, and it should be resolved. But if you’re still having problems, please respond with:
– the phone IP address
– the time you saw the error
– the URL you tried to visit
– the URL you ended up atIf you’d like to upload a screenshot to your media library as well, that would be helpful. Thank you!
