SPAM posts

Hello. How do I stop SPAM posts that are getting posted with my id? I have changed passwords, set the blog to require all posts to be manually approved, checked the box that all SPAM gets put into the moderated letters folder, disabled post by email and probably a few other settings I can’t remember. Oh yeah, I put some key words in the area that flags things as SPAM if they contain certain words. But, I am still getting SPAM posts that go through automatically. What am I missing?

What is the URL of the blog in question please?
Exactly which username account registered that blog?If any person or any bot is posting anything to your blog then you have provided them with the ability to do so either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.
Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs
Read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.
2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/
4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
You can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.

Hi there!
It looks like the last post came into your site yesterday via post by email. You say you’ve turned this off now. Have you gotten any more of these posts since you turned that off?

So far so good. Thanks. I had updated all the passwords previously and for my email account and it looks like the disabled post by email option may have ended the SPAM posts. I will continue to watch it. Thanks!

If you previously changed all your passwords for your email and post by email was still posting spam, your new password has also been compromised. Change it again.
