spam referals – can bloggers delete these?
-
I have problems with these as I suspect many others do from the comments here.Whilst I think there is an overall downwards trend – my blog stats are still littered with spam referrers.
Would it be possible for the blog owner themselves to delete these historic records and subsequent spammer links?
It seems logical to me that the blog owner will recognise these spammers more effectively than WP staff.

Sorry there is no option for the blog owner to have control with deleting spam referral links… But what you can do is contact staff directly and provided such links to them so they can take care of it on their end… Contact link → http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact

Thanks for the response.
Just to clarify – does WP admin actually remove the spam referral numbers from the site stats, or do they just stop future spam referrals from those sites leaving their previous view numbers in the stats?
Thanks and Regards

If my memory serves me correctly I believe they block future hits from the spam referrals and you’re welcome! for the response… = )
