Spam Registrations

About two months ago I started getting email notifications that I had a new user registration. They were allways made up names with no message. I made sure all the contact me forms had recaptcha, but I still was getting them. I decided the few people that want to contact me could just go to FB since my site is mostly to show people the type of things I make. So I removed all the contact me forms, but I just got two New User Registration emails. I am confused at where they are registering?

Your site, kwikwoodworks.com, is using the open source WordPress software and is not hosted here on WordPressdotcom.
You can turn off new user registrations in your dashboard under Settings ->General in the dashboard, and you can remove any users who shouldn’t be there under Users ->All Users.
In general for more help with using the standalone WP software, you’ll want to post at the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page. I also suggest searching the forums there for a similar issue before posting.

I had searched, but I was apparently mistaken that it was the contact form that they were using.
Anyhow I turned off the switch and hopefully that will be the end of it.
