  I migrated my “blog” over from StumbleUpon, since they are closing that functionality down, and ever since then I have been getting tons and tons of spam to the email address associated with my WordPress.com account. How do I make it stop? (Since WordPress won’t let me close the account.)

  Since the email address you used is not publicly accessible via wordpress, the issue would not be on this end unless you happened to post your email address into a blog post or perhaps on a page in your site here.

  that’s logical and well-reasoned … and yet, I find it hard to believe that it is just a coincidence that it started at the same time
