Spam targeting a specific post.

I’ve been noticing a huge uptick in spam over the last week or two. For several years, spam messages would appear on the dashboard infrequently — 1 or 2 at a time. Now, I’m getting up to 300 in a day in my Akismet spam folder.
At first, I just deleted them, but yesterday I scrolled through them all. They are all in response to a single post from March of this year, my first post with shortlinks to VideoPress clips. Since then, I’ve published three other posts with VideoPress clips and I don’t think they have been targeted.
I can delete the original post, and that might “solve” the problem. Any other ideas before I do?

You can turn off comments on a specific Post if you want – edit the Post and down a ways below the text edit block there should be an option to turn the comments for that Post only off.

Thanks! I had the “Discussion” drop-down closed for so long I’d forgotten about it. Change made, should solve that spam problem. Much appreciated.
