Spam too restrictive

  • Unknown's avatar

Two quick questions: I’m finally getting some (light) traffic on my blog, and comments are coming in, but they’re ALL, 100%, getting tagged as Spam. I can tell that most of these, maybe 90%, are not spam, but I can’t find a way to access the Spam filters to relax them.

Also, even tho I’ve listed my email address in both User and General settings, I’m not getting email notifications when comments come in- is this b/c of the problem above- that they’re all being designated as spam and therefore not generating emails?

Thanks in advance for the help-

  • Comments caught as spam are not sent out via email.

Our anti-spam system is a learning engine, so marking them as Not Spam will improve the engine.

Before you do that, check the website link included with the comment and ask if you really want that on your blog.

Many spam comments actually vaguely relate to the content of the post they’re added to, but only exist to link to a store, get rich quick scheme, etc.
