Spammer is posting as ME, and I can't stop them.

    Hi. I’m the only designated user of my blog at http://toddbosspoet.com, but for the past several months I’ve had spammers POSTING as ME. These are not unwanted COMMENTs, but POSTS that look as though I posted them myself.

    I’ve tried changing my log-in PASSWORD but the posts kept coming, almost DAILY. An automatically generated WordPress email then delivers the new fraudulent post to all of my subscribers. Nightmare for me. Not nice for my subscribers.

    I’ve left the most recent fraudulent post up on my blog so you can see it. I also have screen grabs of the emails etc., but can’t post them in this comment box. Help!

    Hi there,

    These spam posts are being added to your blog through the Post by Email feature. This can happen if your secret email address for posting by email is shared anywhere, so be sure to keep this email address secret.

    To stop the spam posts, you can generate a new post by email address for your blog or disable posting by email. To do this, go to Dashboard > My Blogs and hover over the Post by Email address. You can click “Regenerate” to create a new email address or “Delete” to disable it.
