Spammers are posting to my blog

Recently spammers have hacked into my wordpress account and are now posting ads for canadian drugs, viagra, etc. I have changed my password for the wordpress site as well as my email password. How do I stop this from happening and make sure it does not happen again?

It could be that while they had access to your account they enabled the post-by-email function, so they can simply email new posts to your blog. Check whether it is enabled and then either generate a new email address or disable it completely: http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
Go to Users ->All Users on your dashboard and see if there is anyone beside you registered as users on the blog. If there’s any users you did not add, you can remove them: http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#removing-users
Lastly, make sure you have a strong password (both on WordPress and your email account) and practise safe online behaviour. You might also want to consider activating two-step authentication.
