Spammers Copying & Pasting Previous Comments

    I noticed today that a previous comment I had left on someone’s blog had been copied and pasted verbatim on the same blog by someone else. Is that a common problem? I left her another comment pointing it out, but I found it to be rather odd. Had I not subscribed to follow the comments, I probably would have never noticed. I thought it was worth mentioning, anyway. Anyone else have this happen?

    Not common, but it does happen. They think that is a way to get around being caught. Then when you approve their comment, then start hitting you with spam. We even see that happen from time to time here in the forums.

    I’ve had this happen a few times on one of my blogs. Spammers must think we are all asleep at the switch. We aren’t but new bloggers are so desirous of comments that I frequently see spam comments approved and posted to blogs.
