Spams entering in WP Forum

    Hi, in the last 2 weeks I have been experiencing a constant flow of spam topics in the Wp Forum I use in my website:

    WP Forum Server, 1.7.5, developed by VastHTML (http://www.vasthtml.com)

    it seems like a BOT is entering freely in it creating users (normally I get notified when new users register, these ones not!), I’ve activated also the Captcha option but it did not improve the situation, may be worse?

    I tried to contact developer but it seems they closed down their support access (latest reply was 2010…).

    I activated Akismet but it seems of no use, I got in touch with Akismet support and their answer was: “Akismet only checks for forum spam, however it’s been developed for other plugins, too. It looks like WP Forum Server does not use Akismet to protect against spam. You may want to contact the developers of WP Forum Server to see how they deal with spam.”

    That is why I am addressing to you this problem, any recommendations?

    Is this the site you are referring to?

    That is a plugin for wordpress.ORG and we cannot use it here on wordpress.COM.

    Please read this information about the various platforms from wordpress and understand that they are not interchangable:
    http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    http://mondoitaliano.wordpress.com/ is an empty wp.COM site but it appears you are using that account for use on wp.ORG.
