Spate of new followers – virus issues?

I have received quite a few emails recently saying people have just started following my blog parrygraph. This should be a good thing. But I am not posting on my blog at the moment and I haven’t had interest for a few months. And then suddenly more than 5 people have started following. Is there some virus issue?

Sounds like you were affected by the onslaught of Outlook.com emails. Outlook.com spam is an issue that we are in the process of addressing. I have reported this internally and we’ll get it cleaned up soon for you.

How did you go with this issue? It seemed like it stopped for a while but has started again in the past few days.

Having the same issues again! but as they do not show as new followers on my site I assume they are being blocked . I still am getting e mail notifications that they have started following. I have also had an increase in very unsavory comments in spam including ones linked to other peoples comments on our posts.

Hi, i am having the same problem too many followers but they do not show are followers on my site. I have receive for the past days at least one e mail per day. It is really annoying, please do something.
