SPCA notifications and buyer/seller introduction
-
I run a community website/blog. I have been asked to consider including 2 new facilities, one for the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in South Africa) to bring deserted animals to the notice of the community in the hope that the animal might find a home and be saved from euthanasia.
The other request I have received is for a type of Classifieds service which I am reticent about and would only consider further if it is clearly understood that all I might do is include a pic, a very short description and a contact number of the seller. I would not get involved in any way with the transaction or with any financial issues.
Can I put up pages listing stray animals in need of home and/or classifieds to refer my readers to the SPCA or to the seller? This would indeed be a useful service to our members, and would not involve the blog in the actual transaction or in any financial gain. Would these facilities be in violation of the WordPress.com rules?
Thanks for any advice or ruling on this in advance. I just opened the blog in January and would not want to get shut down. I am not prepared to introduce either facility without first getting your approval. I don’t wish to move to a wordpress.org self hosted website because of the costs involved for what is hobby.
