Speak to agent

I cannot publish to my site which I paid for. Instead it sends my blog to a website that is free.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @sdampier1,
This sounds like a publishing/site access issue. I’m tagging this with modlook so WordPress.com staff can help.
To speak with an agent directly: https://wordpress.com/help/contact
To help understand the issue better:
- Which site did you pay for? (domain name?)
- Where are your posts publishing instead? (the free site URL?)
- Are you trying to publish from the editor or elsewhere?
Possible issue: You might have multiple sites on your account, and posts are publishing to the wrong one.
Check your sites:
- Go to: https://wordpress.com/sites
- See all sites connected to your account
- Make sure you’re posting to the correct site
Staff will be able to check your account, verify your paid site, and fix the publishing issue.

Hello, @sdampier1! Thanks for letting us know about this.
Could you please share the domain name of the site under the paid plan you’re trying to publish? That will help us guide you further.I checked the account you’re using to reach out and noticed there are no sites under a paid plan linked to it. If you have more than one WordPress.com account, please make sure you’re logged into the correct one.
Looking forward to hearing back from you! We’ll be here, ready to help.

try sdampier.wordpress.com
I did not set up the one at sdampier1.wordpress.com. That is new.
The website I have used is http://www.philsfiction.com. It lists my books on Amazon and is totally different than the sdampier1.wordpress.com that I now log into.
-
It is stupid that no one at wordpress will talk to me after all these years they have taken my money.
-
I should have only one account. I only know of one and its not this one. I can’t log into my old account. Why, I don’t know. Happened this week. I didn’t blog for a week while I changed computers and when I tried to blog again it created a new website. Crazy.
The URL of the site is https://www.philsfiction.com. It hosts Philip Dampier’s Blog, which features personal reflections, Bible commentary, and serialized fiction like Shootout at the Spring. The blog is currently undergoing a brief downtime due to a computer changeover, but the content remains accessible.
This is not where I now publish to! It’s where I want to publish to.

Hello again, @sdampier1!
Thanks for clarifying that! If you’re trying to access your site philsfiction.com, the issue you’re encountering is that this site is under a different account linked to another email address. To access it, you’ll need to log out from the account you’re currently using to contact us and log back in using the email connected to your other account. If you don’t remember which email is linked to that account, you can try our account recovery method by following this guide so we can help you regain access:

Please let us know if you have any questions or need any extra help, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

I noticed you shared the WHOIS information for your domain, which is registered here on WordPress.com but under a different account. You’ll need to log in to the correct account to manage it, as I mentioned earlier.
If you’re having trouble recalling the email associated with that account, you can try our account recovery method using the guide I shared above. Alternatively, feel free to reach out to us at help@wordpress.com, and we’ll be happy to help you further from there.

I cannot login to that account because you have changed my account. I have logged in using my email address up until two days ago. I didn’t change anything. Now I can’t log in because you have assigned a new site to my email. You! Not me. I did nothing but try to post to my blog which I have had since 2016.

We haven’t made any changes to your account, @sdampier1. As I mentioned earlier, the issue might be that you have two different accounts linked to different email addresses.
If you need help regaining access to your other account, please reach out to us from the correct email address at help@wordpress.com. I checked and didn’t see any emails from that address so far.If you can’t remember the correct email address linked to your other account, please try our account recovery method by following this guide:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#verify-your-account-ownership
Once you reach out from the correct email or complete the account recovery method, we’ll be able to help you further. -
Please let me speak to a human being so I can get the answers to my questions. Please. I need to use my blog and my website.

Hi @sdampier1,
If you don’t have a paid plan, you won’t get the option to contact WordPress support via live chat.
Your only option is to reach them by email at help@wordpress.com, but it may take a few days for them to respond. -
Hello there,
We’re reaching out to you via email to further assist. Please be sure to check any spam inboxes that may be in place, in any email addresses tied to your WordPress.com account(s).
Many thanks.

Hi @sdampier1,
You’d already been emailed. Please check any spam inboxes that may be in place, in any email addresses tied to your WordPress.com account(s).
Many thanks.

Did you sort this out? If not, note that this account sdampier1 was created two years ago. The account you need to be in to access your site is spdampier which was created 9 years ago. You obviously have two email addresses.
Log out of this wrong account and log back in with the username spdampier and whatever password you always used for your main site.
