My site is currently restiered with Turbify and they offer an upgrade which includes WordPress hosting. Can I create my site here and then migrate to Turbify’s platform later?

I understand you’re asking if you can create a free WordPress.com site, and later on transfer it to a different host? You can always take your content elsewhere but moving the design won’t be that easy as many of our themes are exclusive to our platform. Just to clarify, WordPress.com is a managed hosting platform, with our paid plans you can achieve whatever you’d do on a self-hosted installation (like on Turbify) but without the hassle of actually hosting it yourself.
Our plan Business includes SSL hosting, as well as direct 24/7 WordPress support, spam blocking, backups, maintenance, security, and other services and features that don’t come with the free software. Extra code complicates maintenance and security, but with the Business Plan we’ve got your back.
If you use your own free copy of WordPress with another host, you’ll need to use community resources or hired services if you don’t have time or ability to take care of security, maintenance, backups, spam filtering, etc. yourself. Those costs, or even the cost of your time, can quickly add up. If you look into pricing, I think you’ll find our plan is well worth the maintenance and security we provide, but it’s up to you.
