Where do I go to speak to a person in relation to wordpress.com / wordpress.org. I had/have a .com blog which I transferred to self hosted via .org. My .com premium account expires TODAY. will this affect my blog?! ARe .com and .org the same company. How do you speak to a real person. What does someone like me who is not a all techy do to understand all this confusion

If I understand correctly, currently your website is self-hosted using the WordPress.org software. If this is correct, the expiration of your premium account in WordPress.com should not affect your website. It would be helpful if you could provide the URL of the website you’re referring to. I will also tag a member of the staff to help you further.
Since you have a premium plan you have access to priority Live Chat support available 24 hours a day, five days a week. When you are logged into WordPress.com, click on the blue and white ? icon in the lower right corner to access the Help resources. Then, click the ‘Contact Us’ button. Enter your question in the box under “How can we help?” and then press “Chat with us” to begin the chat session.

Hi, thanks for that. Its so confusing as i still log into .com to do all my new posts etc and i don’t have a .org log in!!! my domain is https://rosetintedramblings.blog, its hosted by 123-reg
When you are not technically minded all the forums and support links provide so much information but its like its written in a foreign language! where to start!!!

Yes, this website is using the WordPress.org software. There shouldn’t be any issues. Aren’t you logging at https://rosetintedramblings.blog/wp-admin?

You should be fine. The upgrade actually expired several days ago.
If it helps, though:
WordPress.org is free, open-source software that’s been put together by a community. It isn’t a company and doesn’t have technical support, but it does have forums. So if you’re technically minded, willing to work at it, or pay someone who is, you can run your own copy of the free software, like you’re doing now at 123-reg.
WordPress.com is a collection of services offered by our company, Automattic. We offer hosting, as well as site management and technical support for the sites hosted here.
And, we offer use of our interface, applications, and some other services through our Jetpack plugin. It looks like you’ve got that set up, but it’s through user “rosetintedramblings” — so you might want to log out and log back in as the correct user so you can access those tools.

Oh! One more note though: https://rosetintedramblings.wordpress.com/ does still exist at that address.
If you want to hide that site (so it’s not duplicating the one you’ve got hosted elsewhere) log in as the correct user and head to https://wordpress.com/settings . I recommend making the site “private” — that way only you can see it, but if you decide to switch back to our services later, you’ll still have that name available if you want it.

I’m really sorry to keep updating you here. I was just about to close out the free site tab when I saw this:
Just a quick blog to let you know I’m moving and I’m not sure if my followers will be notified or automatically moved with me.
Your followers can be moved with you by user “rosetintedramblings” … Stats too if user rosetintedramblings requests it.
