Specific Column Page
-
Howdy, I would like to know if there is a way where I can add a page that I can do news but they come out in lists like the homepage does? For instance, click ”Graphics”, it’s just a single page, but what I want to do is add the new page (news) and have it like columns are on the homepage. Can this be done?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please see here for how to create a custom menu and how to add category pages to it. Read also: Custom menus

Thanks but what I want is a page that has purely just it’s own content. No tags, categories from other content etc. but it comes out as it’s own post. Like I don’t want the news to come out on the homepage.
It possibly can’t be done just making sure.

Please read this so you are clear on the differences between pages and posts. There’s only one dynamic ie. continually updating page for posts in any blog. The other dynamic pages are Categories, Archives and Tags pages which are automatically updated when we publish a post. All pages you create like an About page are static pages that sit outside the blog structure. Well, there is only one dynamic page in a blog for posts and we cannot post to more than that one page.

Timethief means that you need to categorize all the relevant posts under a “News” category, and add a link to that category in your top menu. Clicking on that link will give you the “page” you want.

Okay, so to 100% clarify…when I this the posts will come up on just the News page and not the homepage?
-
No: your main posts page displays your posts in reverse chronological order, regardless of category. Your homepage can display either all your latest posts or no posts at all (if you set a static page as your front).
-
Okay…well what I want is for the news page to display only content related to news. I want no news stuff on the homepage.
-
That’s not possible. All posts you publish will automatically appear on that page and on the Archives pages, and on the Categories and Tags pages that you assign to posts. You cannot have both a dynamic front page for posts and another dynamic page for News because as I explained there’s only one dynamic page for posts in a blog.
Your homepage can display either all your latest posts or no posts at all (if you set a static page as your front page).

hmm okay.
Is their any alternatives/tools I can use to make a News page look cool? Instead of just plain text?
Sorry for all the questions weekly :(
