Specific Content on Specific Pages

  I want to be able to divide my content into longer articles and shorter daily updates. I have created two separate pages for this content, but I am having trouble directing the posts to their proper pages. I am trying to use the tags and categories to set this up, but it isn’t dividing. My theme is Gazette. Can someone help me?
