Specific problems DNS records

  DNS records

  Hello,

  I created my page using wordpress and then paid the feature in order to make a redirecting (maping) of my domain (armo-sysytem.com) to my new wordpress page. Everything looked to be working fine, but as warned in the instructions the email accounts stopped working. So I have been trying to adjust the DNS records without having any success.

  Here some information referring to the information I got from my provider “prosite”:

  Zone: armo-sysytem.com
  Serial: 2011030211
  Primary: ns11.prosite.de.
  Hostmaster: hostmaster.prosite.de

  Nameserver:
  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  I already tipped several combinations in order to change the DNS records, so that the e-mail addresses start working again, but as already explained, unfortunately it still doesn’t work. could you please tell be based on this information tell me how should I adapt the DNS records? I already saw the instructions for setting DNS records including example, but this didn’t help me.

  Hi there,

  I see in your message, some MX records. Are those the MX records that your email provider gave you that you need to set?

  If so, I can provide to you the correct format that they need to be in and where they need to go within our systems.

  If they were not given by your email provider, please contact your email provider and get from them your complete and correct MX records and I can give those to you in the correct format!

  yes, they are from my email provider. I got them from the general information referring to my domain. Is it enough just to set the MX records? how about the other ones CNAME, A ..etc. ?

  This is the last combination of records I tried:
  CNAME armo-system.com imap.worldserver.net.
  MX 20 worldserver.net.

  (still not working)

  Hi there,

  If the records which you provided were correct, then you should be able to just copy and paste the records which I’ve provided below into the DNS for your domain.

  MX 10 mx.10.worldserver.net
  MX 20 mx.20.worldserver.net
  CNAME imap imap.worldserver.net.
  CNAME listen listen.worldserver.net.
  CNAME mail mail.worldserver.net.
  CNAME pop pop.worldserver.net.
  CNAME smtp smtp.worldserver.net.

  I just changed the DNS records and everything seams to be working normally :).

  In case I have further problems, I will let you know!

  May be because I am new and have no experience with this kind of topics, but it might be a good idea to add further examples in the instructions referring to the adjustment of the DNS records, which wordpress already has…
