Specify widgets visiblity per page

I’m new to the WordPress world, but am so far impressed with what i’ve seen so far.
One thing I would like to do, is have different widgets visible depending on which page you are viewing. From what i’ve seen so far, the widgets are either always visible on every page, or not visible at all.
For instance, I would only like to see thumbnails from Flickr on my photography page, and not any of the others.

Also, is it possible to show links of a particular category on a particular page? Again, the example being i would only like to show links in the Photography category on the photography page.

    Many thanks,
    Mark

I’m sorry, but with the default WordPress.com setup, it isn’t currently possible to have widgets or links only show up on certain pages.

If you have the Custom Design upgrade, and you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty with CSS, you can do this, though.

Thanks for the response. I guessed it was probably a limitation of the free site. Well, perhaps as I play around a bit more I might look into upgrading what i’ve got, or move onto my own hosted server. But that will probably be a while off at the moment!
