Specifying which posts appear where

  Hi, I am using the theme Oxygen (which is a great template & works well) the only question I wanted to ask is whether there’s a way of specifying which posts appear where?
  As i’ve just built this site I ideally wanted to have a blog and small shop. I started to add posts but they automatically spun onto a page (which I’ve now made into a basic shop- the ‘shop for pretty things’ tab). If I wanted to write a blog post it would automatically spin onto the shop page which I don’t want. Is there a way I can make posts appear on different pages? I.e blog on a blog page and shop stuff on the shop page?

  i tried to create a page that was not part of my main menu for posts to spin onto and then put use the categories to pull content through to the site but that didn’t work, the hidden page just appeared on my site (even though I hadn’t added it to the menu).

  Would I be best to create a new blog and use a blog page to link to that? As I dont want my blog posts spinning into the shop tab.

  Ps. I have the showcase page as my front so I needed to specify which page the posts go to (shop tab).

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
