Speed of my site is down/comment spam

Is anyone else having issues? Its been happening for a week or so. I am also getting spam comments for Viagra on some posts. I dont see how this is possible b/c i have disabled comments. I cant actually see the spam comments, wordpress just tells me they are there. How are people leaving spam comments if i have comments disabled? For instance i am told that a trackback comment has been left on this post

but i dont see anything. is this what could be slowing my site down? -

You can’t; they won’t work, anyway.
There are different codes to use in your blog comments. They used to be listed, but staff got rid of them recently probably to save space.
