Speed & OnSite WordPress Site Request. Having Serious Loading Issues. Requesting Insight & Comments.

So I recently joined a company as their Google/SEO/Marketing Specialist. As I began trying to grow the websites I noticed that the site was having issues with load times. (I will have both sites listed below.) Both sites are having major issues when it comes to server response times, unused CSS and JS as well as massive network payloads and DOM sizes.
The websites are: trccommercialsc.com & theroofingcompanysc.com
(It would be best to use: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/) or (https://gtmetrix.com/) to get a current overview of each site’s metrics and load times for your use.I want to know; what would be the best course of action? I am considering hiring a wordpress speed optimization specialist from Upwork or something like that.
Basically the site homepage loads the quickest with the different sub-pages taking longer to load.
On each site it uses the Jupiter X theme with Elemetor. There are 20 plugins in all including Jupiter X core.
Really I just need some advice on what anyone recommends or if any of you have had this issue before and found a way to fix it.
Its causing a lot of issues when it comes to bounce rate and our customer retention rate so its a very important matter that I would like some insight on.

Are you sure the issue is with the software or could it be caused by the speed/bandwidth you have with the company hosting your sites?
Anyway that is beyond the scope of this this forum which assists with free sites hosted by WordPress.com. You’d need to register an account and ask at the support forum for the wordpress.org software to see if there is any advice to be found there before calling in the specialists.

I appreciate your help. I will defiantly ask over at the .org site.
I was given an answer somewhere else as well they said that the server response time could be caused by my site being hosted in the UK.
Is this an issue? With internet speed being so fast would it even matter where the site is hosted?

I’m sure where a site is hosted and what they offer depending how much you pay must have a bearing. And old/multiple plugins can cause issues. I know this refers to WordPress.com but may be interesting
