Spell Check
-
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a terrible speller. I find myself really wishing WordPress had a spell check when writing a post. It may be difficult and/or expensive to implement, but I just thought I would let you know that it’s wanted. Great job to the WordPress crew nontheless.

If you’re running Firefox – and if you’re not, you should :) – just install Google bar and use its spell checker for all web forms.

This has been covered many times in other threads. You may want to do a search as I believe it’s on the staff’s to do list.

I apologize. I should have searched a little more. I looked around but didn’t see this topic brought up. Thanks for the suggestion with Firefox (Yes, I use Firefox) and the google toolbar though. I’ll check into that. Thanks.

you know, I had spell check until just this week, and suddenly all I have is “look-up” what is going on?

@slynne
Please note the post on the forum board that says the visual rich text editor has just been updated http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=6851&replies=2 -
Slynne, it appears that somehow your editor got changed on you. The rich text editor has the spell checker while the normal editor has the lookup feature.
You can switch between them at Dashboard -> Users -> Your Profile -> The check box at the top.
Hope this helps,

Like Slynne, this happened to me today too. If this is a common thing that has happened to several people today, perhaps a sticky with this solution should be posted.
