Spell check in WP app

I recently switched to using the desktop WordPress app most of the time but I really need a spellcheck option in the app please. I hope to see that in your app in the future. Thanks!

Hi there,
The WordPress desktop app already supports spell check.
You can enable that under File ->Preferences in the app menu.
Note that at this time the app doesn’t offer an option to select a language, but will spell check according to whatever is set as the system language on your computer.

I’m going to need more information. I cannot find the Preferences in the app that you refer to.

Hmm, can you tell us what menu options you see? I’m on a Mac, so my options are a bit different: for the first menu item, I see WordPress.com, and under that I can see preferences. On Windows it may say File as the first menu item instead. If not, let us know what menu item you do see.
Also, just to confirm, are you using this?

Yes, I’m using the WordPress Windows desktop app, but it does not look quite like what is depicted in the link you supplied.
When you say “menu”, do you mean the list of things down the left-hand side of the screen (My Home, Stats, Posts, etc.)? Because if it is, there’s nothing there that says “Preferences” or “File.”
