Spell checker doesn’t work

This is my first attempt at a blog. So far everything seems very straight forward except I can’t seem to get the spell checker to work. When I run it(<cntrl>n) on known spelling errors it comes back and tells me that Windows Explorer found no misspellings. I am running Vista OS. Any suggestions?

WordPress actually has it’s own spell checker for you posts. Don’t know anything about the Vista spell checker, but when you are creating a new post, there is a little button with ABC and a checkmark. That is the button to check the spelling. The following is a link to an FAQ on what all the buttons do in the ‘create post’ page with photos! Spell Checker is 14!

I used the little button long before I tried the key sequence-same result. The spellchecker doesn’t work. Seems there is another post in the forum on the same problem- and now confirmed.
