Spell checker has disappeared

I’m still using classic WordPress with classic editor. After composing my post for today, I discovered that the spell checker gone. Surely that’s not something WP did intentionally, is it? Spell checkers are pretty basic in any writing situation. Please fix this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @windwhistle, the feature we were using for spell checking is no longer being maintained, so we’ve removed it from our editor. For what it’s worth though, most modern browsers and operating systems now include their own spell checkers, so you can use those if you’d like.

I’ll try that, but haven’t noticed that Chrome spell checks what I compose within WordPress. (I know many people compose their posts outside of WP, but I think that’s an unnecessary extra step.) Frankly I don’t know why WP wouldn’t continue to support its own spell checking, but in any case, thanks for your prompt response.

It is very unfortunate that the spell checker has disappeared because I work in English (on Chrome) but write my blog in French, so I no longer have the French spell checker I had through WP, so I no longer have any spell checker for my blog! Extremely disappointing!
