SPF record for Zoho Email for a client site

When I logged into my client’s Zoho Super Admin email account, I received a notification that ‘SPF entries in your domains DNS are not configured to match with Zoho. Please configure SPF to ensure better email delivery.’

Searching in the forums brought me to this question, which stated Zoho didn’t require SPF records. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/updating-spf-record-to-work-with-zoho-mail?replies=2

Has something changed in Zoho Mail that now requires an SPF record?

  • Hi there,

Zoho support would be better able to answer this question, and provide you with the exact records you would need. Based on https://www.zoho.com/mail/help/adminconsole/spf-configuration.html having that record is optional, so if this has changed their own documentation has not yet been updated in this regard.

If Zoho confirms you need to add that, or you just want to add it in any event, you can add it via My Site ->Domains as long as you’re logged in as the account that owns the domain upgrade. If you’re an admin on the site you might also be able to add DNS records to the domain via this account.

    Custom DNS

I’m also happy to add them for you, but then I’ll need the request to come from the account that owns the domain.
