Spike in traffic-hack?

  Hi Guys, How can I tell if my site was hacked, there was a surge in traffic yesterday and news reports suggest that various sites, including twitter, yesterday were hacked…Thanks?

  Yesterday’s big hack attacked DNS services, making it so URLs didn’t properly resolve to the IP addresses of their sites.

  I doubt that had any impact on your WordPress.com site; as far as I know, the DNS hack had nothing to do with breaking into individual WordPress sites. As long as you don’t see any new users in your control panel and your posts/media files seem unchanged, you’re probably fine. For a little added security, you could change your password and turn on two step authentication.
