splash page/home page/hiding headers and sidebars

    I would love to create a home page with a single image and some text on it, and I’m not sure that I can. I am using the MistyLook theme, and I see nothing in the options about hiding my header or sidebar all together for a SINGLE page.

    Is this possible, or is there a work around to make something like this happen?

    No it is not. There are a couple themes that have a “no-sidebar” page template, but the other standard page elements, header, top navigation and footer all remain.

    There may be something that could be done with CSS, but it would depend on the theme – and of course your CSS editing skills.
