Splash Screen – Expired Domain Name
-
Hello,
For the first time today, I landed on the splash screen of a blog with an expired domain name, see here: http://sustainablefortbragg.com
Cool robot :) and it’s nice that the original URL of the blog is indicated at the bottom (in tiny font size), but wouldn’t it be better to make that address clickable?
I mean, the xxxxx.wordpress.com address is still active, so why not make it more easily accessible for people to get to, in just one click rather than having to do a copy/paste?I know it’s a small detail, but still :D , it’s odd to see a URL which gives the expectation to be clickable, but actually is not.
Cheers!

I am using Chrome 39.0.2171.95 and I can see a “x” Dismiss link that I can click that removes the overlaid screen.

Hi timethief,
I am using Firefox 34.0, but also checked on Chrome 39.0.2171.65, and am not seeing the “x”. I am on Ubuntu, if that makes any difference.
Here’s a screenshot of what I see: https://cloudup.com/cxxFe3HQaL7What could it be?

Oh ok, I see, however, I think that we are not referring to the same page.
To recapitulate:
– http://sustainablefortbragg.com: https://cloudup.com/cxxFe3HQaL7 splash screen has no “x Dismiss” link, and the URL http://sustainablefortbragg.wordpress.com is unclickable (which is what my original request is about)
– http://sustainablefortbragg.wordpress.com: https://cloudup.com/cKk7UYfhjH1 “x Dismiss” link present, no issues here.(The screenshots were taken at different times, so excuse the inconsistency with the 14 days and 18 days ^^ )
