Split: About Domain recover
-
Hi @aisajib – I made the same mistake with gentle-consulting.com and gentle-consulting.co.uk. Can you work the same trick with those please? Would be really great to get them back!!
They don’t come up in my cancelled domains list, probably because I cancelled them really quick. They are unavailable to register though. -
Hi @tandrgent I can confirm your domains were cancelled and you were given a partial refund for £12 and £8.40 as noted by the two most recent entries here: https://wordpress.com/me/billing/
We are able to recover your domains but in order to do so we must first send an invoice for the registration fees. Our billing system is in $USD so please check your inbox for the invoice we just sent. When you open the email it will include a link to pay for the registration of your cancelled domains.
If you do not see it in your inbox, please search for the subject “Payment request from Automattic Inc.” and be sure to check any spam folders. Also be sure you are not blocking emails from our donotreply address donotreply[at]wordpress[dot]com. If you are not sure which inbox to check, we send all email to the address you entered under your profile here: https://wordpress.com/me/account/
After you make payment please return here to let us know so we can take the next step to recover the domain. Thanks!

Thanks, I’ve now made the payment, let me know what to do next please. Oddly the timgent.blog page goes to gentle-consulting.com, I’m guessing because the latter was set as primary?
For now I’ll be looking to use the .blog page personally, and leaving gentle-consulting pages dormant, possibly using for email addresses. -
Hey there,
Thank you for submitting the payment. I was able to successfully recover both domains and you can find them under Upgrades > Domains from your dashboard. The redirection is likely due to setting the other domain as primary as you mentioned.
Let us know if you have any additional questions!
