Split: Can’t log in

    I have the same problem as hobotolsma, when i try to log in on my new computer it says I don’t exist. (rothpoetry) This is so agravating! I tried everything. It won’t even let me get a new password. Says my email (email visible only to moderators and staff) does not exist! What can I do.

    @rothpoetry, even though the end result is the same (unable to access your site) it is possible that this is due to a different underlying issue from the one in the original post. With this in mind could you start a new topic here?

    #modlook I got a new computer and when I try to log in to WP it tells me that there is not account by the user name rothpoetry or email address. It will not allow me to change my password. Help!!
    Everything works fine on my old computer!

    Are you using your old computer to post here? You’re commenting here as the username, rothpoetry, which means you’re already logged in.

    Can you tell me the exact URL of the page where you’re trying to log in?

    The login page for WordPress.com is at https://wordpress.com/log-in, and you should be able to log in using the rothpoetry username at that link.

    If the page where you’re logging in is at another domain, with the URL ending in /wp-login.php, you’re not trying to log into a WordPress.com username account, but into a user account on a stand-alone WordPress website at another host. In that case your WordPress.com account details won’t work, and instead you need to use the login credentials that were created for that specific account on that specific site.

    I discovered your second link on the email you sent me and it gave me a password that got me in. So I am back on an running. Don’t know why the bing search login said I did not exist!??
