Split info in a blog

  I manage an educational blog followed by students who study two different textbooks and I’d like to split the information contained in the blog so that each student just follows the content of their own textbook. I can think of two options.

  1.transferring part of my blog to another blog, How can I do that? I’d like to keep the other one open though.
  2. Allowing students to subscribe to categories, not to the whole blog.

  I’m more interested in option 2 but I’m not sure it’s feasible.id like my students to be ale to subscribe to part of the not and receive notification of New posts only referring to their textbook.
