Split: Menu

  • Unknown's avatar

I am having a similar problem to the one dated Feb 4, 2022, 9:38 pm, although I have no option to make the menu visible or not under Penscratch 2. I have created a menu using pages for the choices. On one of the pages, I want several menu items under it that correspond to my categories. For a while, I had the menu but could not get rid of a page title so I deleted it and was never able to get a new one to show up.

evolutionismvscreationism.wordpress.com is my blog I am having trouble with.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

I’ve moved your comment to its own thread, as it’s not the same issue the other person was having with the Baker theme on the thread where you added this comment.

You currently have a custom menu set to the Header menu area in your theme, but that menu doesn’t contain any links, so there is nothing to display.

To add items to your menu, go to Appearance ->Customize ->Menus, click on the menu titled “First One”, and click Add Items to add your pages to that menu. Click Save at the top of the Customizer once you’re done, and the menu will appear on the site:

Or if you don’t want a custom menu, and just want to use the default menu that displays the titles of all published pages on your site, go to Appearance ->Customize ->Menus ->Menu Locations and unselect “First One” under the Header Menu option, so it’s no longer set as an active menu:

You can also click on “First One” in the main Menus page, and click the option to completely delete that menu:
