Splittig comments with “more” tag?

    I’d like to be able to split a long comment into two pieces with a “more” tag, but I can’t figure out how.
    When I edit a comment, one of the buttons on top of the editing window says “more,” and inserts the following: <!–more–>
    but it doesn’t have any effect on the comment.

    There are several things on the comment edit tool bar that do not work, and the more tag is one of them. There is no support for comment more tags in wordpress or in the themes here.
