Splitting categories into multiple dropdowns?
-
How would I go about splitting each category hierarchy into its own separate drop-down?
I’m attempting to revise my company WP blog, and running into a navigation issue: We have 136 categories in our hierarchy, and we actually do need them. However, this is difficult to use for navigation.
I’d like to split the categories out so that each of our main categories can be in a separate drop-down with all of its children and grand-children. I’m not a good CSS coder, so as little or easy a modification I can do to the theme would be excellent. We use Simpla, but if there’s another theme that already does this, that would be fine too.
Thanks!

Can we start with a link to your wordpress.COM blog so that we can determine if you are hosted here?

I have the same question. We would like to put new posts in a separate Nepal category.

andypotterf – your blog is actually http://potterfs.wordpress.com/ – no www in there. And consider linking it to your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.
As for putting new posts in a Nepal category – just add the category.

There is no way to have multiple drop downs with different categories here at wordpress.COM.

Hey, we’re not all computer geniuses here.
When I add a new category it puts all of my posts into both categories and I have no idea how to get them out of the Nepal one and then put new ones in.
