Spoiler alert html
-
Hi, I was wondering if there’s any html code I can use so I can hide text with a spoiler link you just hover over to hide?
I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything relevant enough. Any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not sure I understand your question, but this might be what you are looking for?
<span style="cursor:help;" title="SECRET_INFORMATION_HERE"><em><strong><span style="color:#008000;">SPOILER_WARNING_HERE</span></strong></em></span> -
Oops: no styling in this code:
<span style="cursor:help;" title="SECRET_INFORMATION_HERE">SPOILER_WARNING_HERE</span> -
Hmm didn’t work, it did put a question mark next to the cursor when I hovered over the text though.
What I mean is for the spoiler sentence to be covered by a basic text box which says ‘SPOILER ALERT!’, and when you hover over that box it disappears and you can read the spoiler written beneath it.

I don’t believe so at WordPress.com. You can make text a SPOILER ALERT link: highlight the text and, instead of putting in the Name of the link it’s going to, just put in the actual spoiler. That way it’ll show up when someone hovers over the text looking for the spoiler.

I tried 1tess’ solution and it works, but there was a delay of about a second before “SECRET_INFORMATION_HERE” appeared next to the cursor.
You can also use the ABBR tag. It does the same thing, except it’s a dotted link by default. Example from my blog:
<abbr title="National Transportation Safety Board">NTSB</abbr> -
