Sponsored Content being shown on the site

    Hello there!
    In the last few days, I have seen that a lot of sponsored content is being shown on my site which is niether related to the content I post nor is anyway relevant to the audience I wish to share my content with. It is so distracting. Why is this content being shown on my site? Is there some change in policy to use free wordpress site? While I was okay with the Wordads being shown on my site, this sponsored content is not something that I want to show the audience. It is fraudulent content and I don’t want to show it on my site. Kindly see into this issue🙏

    Hi there,

    We’ve gradually been introducing sponsored content on free sites on WordPress.com, in addition to showing advertising. You can read more about it here:

    https://wordpress.com/support/native-sponsored-posts/

    If you don’t want these to appear on your site, you can remove it, and all other advertising, by upgrading to the Pro plan.

    If you believe a post appearing in Sponsored Posts is fraudulent, or otherwise violates our terms of service and user guidelines, click the … icon at the top-right of the post, and you’ll find the option to report it there so we can review it.
