Sponsored Posts

Recently, I received an offer for a sponsored post of $100. I refused because I was afraid my account would be suspended. And then I got this response:
Hi Glen,
We actually do this with bloggers across WordPress, tumblr, Blogger (blogspot) etc and all platforms and Google allow this so long as the post has a disclosure statement on it and no-follow links are being used – both of which we comply by. It’s how most big online blogs and publications earn an income.
Is this correct?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, they are deliberately lying to you, actually. I’m an online journalist and they are completely lying to you.
Accepting their offer will indeed get your blog suspended. Clearly they do not know there’s a difference between WordPress.org and WordPress.com, but the bigger issue is that they are lying to you about how blogs make their money; they make it on advertising, not paid posts.
Don’t do business with an unethical company under any circumstances. You shouldn’t sell your blog’s reputation out for a C-note.
