Sponsorships

    Hello!
    I have a question regarding monetization and advertising on my blog. I have read through the wordpress rules on advertising 101 times, and I’m still not sure of the answer to my question.
    I have been blogging for about 3 months now, and I have gotten quite a large following. However, the type of posts that I write require a lot of money and time, and I would love it if I could find a way to make my site self-sustaining. I have already considered WordAds, and I am planning on applying later this week once I upgrade my account. However, I was wondering about sponsorships. I know that WordPress is strictly against third-party ads like AdWords, but they seem to be okay with sponsorships. I guess I’m just a little confused on what a sponsorship can be. For example, if someone financially sponsors a post, and in return I write a little blurb about their business at the end of the post, is that then considered an ad or a sponsorship? What about if I add a photo? I have searched everywhere for the answer to this question, and I haven’t been able to find an answer, so if there is an existing post, please redirect me to that! I would appreciate any help I can get with this!
