Sportspress League Table Columns Order is Wrong

  • Unknown's avatar

Recently the order of W – L – D – OVERALL on my league table columns was changed to L – D – W – OVERALL, and I can’t figure out how to change it back. Can you help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

I’m not sure I’ve understood your question. Can I see this on your homepage?  Or is it a specific place I need to look at?

I’ve taken a look around but did not see the tables in question when visiting random pages. Thanks for pointing it out!

Yes, thanks… If you go to https://hvalsports.com/boys-soccer/ and look at the standings at the top of the page (which is a league table) you’ll see that the losses column shows forst and the wins column shows last.

  • Hey there,

Many thanks for that information – it looks like this can be edited on this page here: https://hvalsports.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=6860&action=elementor

It looks like the columns might have changed as seen below:

These settings appeared after I selected the table.

    I hope this helps!

Thanks for this. I think the problem still exists, though. The heading field (marked by red rectangle in the previous message) is just a text box – it doesn’t control the column order for wins, losses and draws. The columns area below just allows me to check boxes. It doesn’t allow me to drag the W or the D or the L around to reorder them.

  • Hey there,

Hmm, I can see that two! I would have expected that to change order.

It looks like that block was created as a league table block, was it created using SportsPress? Where was this table created exactly?

    Many thanks in advance!

Yep, the standings block was created as a league table in SportsPress.

Thanks for confirming! I did some poking around and it’s not really clear why the behavior has changed, but I’d like you to do some troubleshooting to see if there might be a conflict with another plugin update.

If you wish to avoid changes to your site that can be seen by the public, the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin can help you find plugin and theme conflicts without affecting the live site publicly. Detailed instructions on how to use this plugin can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/plugins/solve-problems-with-plugins/#health-check-amp-troubleshooting-plugin

If that doesn’t reveal a conflict, it might be an issue with the plugin itself. The SportsPress team is very responsive to support requests on their official forum over at WordPress.org, so I’d highly recommend reaching out if the plugin step doesn’t uncover the problem.

Let us know what you find out or if we can help with anything else. Thank you!

Thank you for your response. I got the Health & Check Plugin but those detailed directions are a bit overwhelming for me. I’m not sure if most people here on this site are computer folks, but I’m not :)

I will ask the question over on the sportspress forum. Thanks for the tip that that exists!
