Hello, I can’t seem to embed spotify links any more?! I have done it lots of times before but I copy the link and paste onto my post but it won’t paste. Nothing comes up. Any ideas?

Staff have changed the editor again. That is a known issue https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/paste-text-broken-visual-editor?replies=9 You may be able to paste when using the Text Edit view as a work around. Using paste as text Visual editor Row 2 icon #5 removes all formatting and spacing.

Thanks for the info timethief, but I have hundreds of spotify url links on as many posts. It will take me weeks to repaste edits. Are WordPress not supporting Spotify or vice versa? I hope not.

Hi everyone,
I currently wasn’t able to reproduce an error with Spotify embeds. When I use either of the methods listed here, the embed codes produce the correct player as shown here:
If you’re still having trouble, could you paste a direct link to a post on your site with a Spotify embed so I can take a closer look?

Well, I just checked my blog again this morning, and magically it seems the embeds look fine…whereas two days ago they did not. Not sure what, if anything, changed. (And I’ve used the methods specified in the above post exclusively.) Will keep an eye on it.

Hello! Fairly new to wordpress here but I followed both methods that were suggested earlier and I’m still having trouble. Did the problem ever get completely fixed?

I went back in the revision history for that post and copied the Spotify address you were using. The playlist is coming up empty on my side. Could you try this method one more time?

Thanks for the quick response. I did more research into it and found that since my spotify playlist is mostly remixes and songs not recognized on spotify, it won’t load my playlist. So I just went ahead a deleted it for now and used 8tracks. Thank you for your help. -

That’s weird. I’m logged in to spotify and all of my posts show a complete blank area where the embeds are supposed to be.

I’ve logged off, restarted my laptop and the embeds are back in vision. I have no idea why this has happened but I’m guessing the problem was at my end so everything seems fine.
