Spotify Playlist problems

  Hello world.
  I’ve created a blog a few days ago, and I want to add on my footer area a spotify widget of a particular playlist I have on my spotify account. Now, I’ve read that in order to do this you should create an image widget and link the url image of the spotify icon that I’ve already saved in my media library to my spotify playlist url which I copy from spotify. After spending an hour trying to find out where all these things are (I now consider my self smarter than before :p ) I have one litlle problem.

  The spotify image appears on my footer but when I hover my mouse over there’s nothing happening. Now, I’m noticing that on the image widget, when I paste the url of the playlist and hit save, the url disappears. But my playlist in spotify is public.

  So I don’t understand why this happens.
  Another thing that has to be said is that prior to creating an image widget I had created a text widget wherere I pasted the playlist url. There it worked fine, but I didn;t like the image I was getting on my blog. I prefere the spotify logo and when somebody clicks on it to aumatically start the playlist.

  I hope all of the above make sense.
