Spun Theme

  Hi —

  If I make a video and share the link with proof, will you guys open the link to view the problem and maybe help me with it? Previously, I just got told the problem is not showing to the WP person who read my older message.

  The Spun theme is my favorite. It used to work perfectly fine. Recently, I upgraded my account. Now at this point when I click on Older Posts, the number of page gets stuck on 2 and then suddenly jumps to 5. The problem continues with the older pages. You can load the older pages, but it’s a problem. On some smartphones, you have to keep dragging the page, trying hard to load the older posts. I checked my blog on 23 different iPads, regular laptops and smartphones through Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome. Only 3 of them loaded the page without the problem. IPhone 6 Plus did a wonderful job without a problem, but one person couldn’t even load the page past number 5. This is out of my hands. There is something lurking there with the theme or something… I’m not an expert on it, but the problem is visible to others as well.

  I tried with options such as making the posts per page fewer, higher, and also clicked on scroll infinitely. I changed the theme a few times and then back to Spun. There isn’t anything else I could try with it. The page loads just fine through all the other themes! The issue is with Spun theme only (of course my favorite one).

  Let me know if you can help. The other person who read me privately told me that they loaded six pages and it all loaded okay and I should try making it 20 posts per page maybe. I tried that already. The problem is there. I can make a video with the flashing problem on all those phones and laptops if you ask me to do that so you can believe me.

  No need for the video! I was able to reproduce this on my side. I’m not sure exactly why this is happening. I reproduced it both on your site and on a test site. I passed this along to our theme developers so we can figure out what is going wrong here. I’ll keep you updated as we find a solution!

  I don’t mean to be a pest about it, but… will a solution be found for it? It’s been a while now.

  Hi there,

  Jeremey reported the issue to our theme developers, but we don’t have a timeline for when our developers will be able to look into the issue and find a solution for it. We’ll let you know when we get an update about it!

  Howdy Bernadette!

  Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We’ve made a fix to Spun that should stop the blinking/flashing as your posts load. Please let us know if you experience any further problems with it.
