Spun theme: Choosing a specific image to appear in the circle
-
Hello,
I’m having an issue getting a specific image to appear in the front page circle of the Spun theme. Per the theme page:
Spun will display the first image attached to the post.
. However, this is not the case. The first image I attach to the post is NOT the one that is always being showcased. Now, choosing Set Featured Image DOES force the image of choice into the circle, but then it also adds a giant version to the top of the page, which I don’t want. Any suggestions? Thanks! The full guide to which image will be placed in the homepage circle is:
To make Spun look extra sharp, just assign Featured Images to your posts. These will appear on the home, archive, and search pages as circles. If your post doesn’t have a featured image but does include images, Spun will display the first image attached to the post. If the post has no featured image or attached image, your post’s title will be displayed in the circle.
Could you provide a link to a post where neither the featured image nor the first image attached to the post are being displayed in the homepage circle so I can take a look directly?
it also adds a giant version to the top of the page, which I don’t want.
You can hide featured images on single posts by using some custom CSS, if you have the Custom Design upgrade:
.single-post-thumbnail { display: none; }
